Thank you to Jahru and Julia (Co-Founders) for asking me to be a teaching artist along with the rest of the Future History Now team and volunteer on this John Lewis Mural. Next to the 7-Eleven on West St. in Annapolis, MD this mural is an addition to the KIDS MAKING HISTORY Mural Tour.

This mural features John Lewis, an American politician, and Civil Rights leader. Behind his portrait is a depiction of the iconic scene of key activists leading the Selma to Montgomery marches over the Edmund Pettus Bridge in 1965, which shows Lewis as the central figure (second from far left) and Martin Luther King Jr.
