Thank you, Greenpeace USA and Gulf South for a Green New Deal for having me out to do the banner build for the Gulf Gathering for Climate Justice & Joy. Special shout out and thank you to, the Houma Nation, Poarch Band of Creek Indians, Golden Feather Hunters, the Congo Square Preservation Society, and everyone else in attendance. It was an amazing couple of days learning about and participating in brainstorming solutions for climate issues in the Gulf. 

     I was asked to come up with a fun banner-build activity for the guest in attendance. We were able to make hand-held banners and two larger banners for another organization in attendance.

     For too long, oil and gas companies have avoided accountability and undermined climate action by offering false promises. They promise to reduce carbon emissions using unproven and harmful technologies in a bid to deepen our dependence on fossil fuels.
